Live Painting at Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville, TN
I was honored to be commissioned by the bride's mother to create a live wedding painting at one of Nashville’s most stunning and ornate churches. The setting was a masterpiece in itself, with its grand architectural details, soaring arches, and intricate ceiling casting a kaleidoscope of colors. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of timeless elegance and reverence, perfectly reflecting the significance of the occasion.
As I arrived at the church, I was immediately struck by the beauty of the venue. The bride and her mother had envisioned a painting that would not only capture the romance of the day but also showcase the splendor of the church. Back at the reception, with my easel set up, I began to sketch the scene—the radiant bride, the breathtaking architectural details, and the joyous expressions of the couple. Each brushstroke aimed to preserve the essence of the moment, translating the beauty of the church and the heartfelt emotions into a living piece of art.
The experience was both exhilarating and intimate, allowing me to witness and capture the wedding’s unique atmosphere. The final painting not only depicted the grandeur of the church but also conveyed the deep emotional resonance of the day, creating a cherished keepsake that the bride and her family will treasure for years to come.
